Catalina Resilience
Uplifting. Cultivating. Mobilizing
Mission: Help environmental people and organizations thrive.
Vision: A future where the people caring for our planet have the support, skills, relationships, and resilience to care for themselves, each other, their communities, and our planet.

Dr. Catherine Alves founded Catalina Resilience in May 2026 on the belief that solving today's environmental challenges requires people and organizations that feel supported, connected, and equipped to thrive. Catalina Resilience exists to strengthen the capacity of environmental professionals and organizations to create lasting, meaningful impact.
Through individual coaching and organizational partnerships, Catalina Resilience supports environmental professionals, teams, and organizations at multiple levels of change. Our work spans career and workforce development; speaking, workshops, and trainings; organizational strategy, facilitation, and capacity-building; community and stakeholder engagement; and research, writing, and grant support.
Rather than focusing solely on individual projects or short-term solutions, we invest in the people, relationships, skills, and systems that make meaningful environmental work possible.
At Catalina Resilience, we define resilience as the capacity of people, organizations, and communities to adapt, collaborate, and thrive while advancing environmental stewardship in a changing world. We believe that resilient people build resilient organizations, resilient organizations strengthen communities, and resilient communities create a healthier planet.
